Allied Universal in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Security Officer Front Desk Visitor Verification to welcome visitors, manage access, and ensure safety at a chemical/petrochemical location.

You will maintain a professional front desk presence, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and support site operations with courteous service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following emergency procedures.
• Deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional front desk presence and reporting security concerns promptly.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor front desk access, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and departure records in accordance with site requirements.
• Receive and direct phone calls, visitors, and deliveries; communicate access concerns and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional front desk presence and reporting security-related concerns promptly.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
