Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer in Benton Harbor, MI, to welcome visitors, control site access, monitor security systems, and provide outstanding customer service at a manufacturing facility.

The role is part-time with a pay rate of $18.54 per hour. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, verifying IDs, operating access controls, and responding to incidents. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a front desk location within a manufacturing and industrial facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and appointment information, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor access records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarm panels, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general site information, and support access control procedures for employees, vendors, and authorized guests.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
