Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security professional in Knoxville to staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify access, and respond to incidents per site procedures.

You will monitor cameras/alarms, carry out security procedures, and keep records while receiving training and career growth opportunities.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), background check, drug screen, and state/local licensing as applicable.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access permissions, and maintain visitor records in accordance with location procedures.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and/or communication systems, reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document activities according to site requirements.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by following residential location entry, delivery, and guest-management procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
