Job Description

As a Security Officer Food Market in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with shoppers, team members, and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach. Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance involving retail operations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
