Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for our Mountain Top, PA site. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors and contractors while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

The role includes fixed shifts with an anchor schedule and optional additional shifts via the scheduling platform, enabling you to increase earnings while maintaining a flexible work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs for deliveries, contractors, and other site visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, facility hazards, damaged property, or policy violations, and complete clear, timely incident documentation.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
