Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Flex for various locations in Southfield, MI. This role involves patrolling, monitoring, and responding to security incidents across diverse sites.

The job offers flexible shifts (morning–overnight) and the ability to pick up shifts through our scheduling program. It requires a high school diploma and background check; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Pay rate is $17.44/hour.

Qualifications

• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Able to travel required distances for assignments.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure authorized removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
