Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Guard Flex Patrol in Southfield, MI, to safeguard clients across industries. The role offers hands-on experience, diverse work environments, and growth opportunities within a leader in security.

You will work 30–40 hours per week with a schedule that varies and includes manager-assigned shifts or self-scheduled ones through Earn More, Claim-A-Shift. Expect irregular shifts with little notice to support client needs.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Able to respond to last-minute shift scheduling.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs as required.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
