Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Maintain a visible armed presence in accordance with laws, licensing requirements, training, and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, reporting concerns to management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Patrol in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$35.00 / Hour

Minimum Requirements

• 21+ Years of Age
• 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience
• Armed Guard Card/License
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  Job Schedule

  • Fri: 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM
  • Sat: 08:00 AM - 01:30 PM

  How This Role Works

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

  Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Maintain a visible armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and site-specific policies to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while observing for unusual activity or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report security-related concerns to management and/or emergency responders.
