Job summary

ProGuard Security Services is seeking a Security Officer to join our California team. The role involves monitoring access points, patrolling the site, and responding to security incidents to keep employees and visitors safe.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prior security experience, and basic computer and wireless communication skills. Strong communication and physical endurance are required to perform duties effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as security guard or related role preferred.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and repetitive patrol duties.
• Strong oral communication skills with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems and verify identification of individuals entering the premises.
• Conduct routine patrols of the property, including climbing stairs and inspecting all areas to deter suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Operate wireless communication devices and radios to maintain contact with security team and report incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
