Job summary

ProGuard Security Services in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Security Officer for a Flex / RI Commercial Building assignment, paying $27.00 hourly. This flex position offers open availability and requires adaptability to meet staffing needs.

The Security Officer will monitor access points, patrol the premises, respond to incidents, and coordinate with emergency services as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma, prior security experience, basic computer and radio

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role preferred.
Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and repetitive motions required for patrol duties.
Strong oral communication skills to interact with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems and verify identification of individuals entering the premises.
Conduct routine patrols of the property, including climbing stairs and inspecting all areas to detect and deter suspicious activity or safety hazards.
Operate wireless communication devices and radios to maintain contact with security team members and report incidents promptly.
Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability.
