Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Fullerton, CA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchors and the opportunity to pick up extra shifts across sites to increase earnings.

Responsibilities include customer service to patients, visitors, staff and contractors, responding to incidents calmly, patrolling healthcare facilities, monitoring access points, and documenting observations for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activity per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management practices in accordance with site policies, helping maintain an orderly environment for patient care.
• Write clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Flex Hospital Access Control in Fullerton, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
