Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Flex Driver for Tucson, AZ. This part-time Enhanced role offers fixed anchor shifts at a designated site with six-month commitment and flexible opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The role includes delivering reliable hours, customer service to tenants and visitors, and a path toward broader security experience within a technology-focused retail setting.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors as part of security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report hazards or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and document observations in required reports.
• Maintain a professional presence and assist visitors to create a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in required reports.
• Maintain a visible, professional presence while providing directions, answering questions, and supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
