Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Validation in Tampa, FL. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour, with a schedule including DayTimeSun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM. Responsibilities include access control, visitor/employee verification, incident response, and routine patrols.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Validation in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor, contractor, and employee authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with controlling access to food and beverage production, warehouse, and distribution areas while reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
