• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documents, maintain logs for visitors and contractors, and control entry/exit of personnel and vehicles.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating to site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, docks, and perimeters and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Help deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations through a professional presence and timely reporting.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Coordination in Plant City, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, docks, and perimeter locations, and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
