Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Patrol in Tampa, FL. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to gain experience across multiple sites. A valid driver’s license and security experience are required to perform duties and ensure customer safety.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Must be 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and follow escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs and shift documentation and report to site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Patrol in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial services location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of authorized personnel and reporting discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
