Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Irvine, CA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to supplement income.

You will provide customer service, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and perform patrols at an assigned site.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• College degree required.
• A valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and inquiries in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner following reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and control entry/exit per site procedures, maintaining visitor and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, public agency representatives, and Allied Universal leadership about incidents and needs.

Security Officer Custody Officer in Irvine, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation as required.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, public agency representatives, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
