Allied Universal in Whitestown, IN is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Enrollment to provide reliable, consistent site access control and courteous service for employees, visitors, and drivers.

This role features fixed anchor shifts with a six‑month commitment and a flexible Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program that lets you pick up extra shifts across sites, helping you increase earnings while gaining hands‑on experience. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Possess supervisory experience.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual observations through required reports and communication channels.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual observations through required reports and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
