Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer Fire Guard Front Desk in Flushing, NY to monitor the lobby, greet visitors, and maintain safety.

Requires S95/fireguard certification or willingness to obtain, NYS Security Guard License, CPR/First Aid, and weekend availability; $18.00/hour with benefits, plus a $300 bonus after 4 months with good attendance.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience required.
• New York State Security Guard License required.
• Fireguard S95 Certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR & First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Monitor CCTV and fire alarm panel.
• Provide JSB standard customer service to clients, employees and visitors.
• Report suspicious persons, vehicles, packages or activities.
• Maintain lobby presence and assist visitors.
• Respond to emergencies and contact emergency services as needed.
• Patrol site and write incident reports/logs.
• Protect client and company assets from theft or safety issues.
• Work independently and with team members.

Shifts Available:

• Part-Time, Morning Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 8AM-4PM

Expected duties may include but are not limited to

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Monitor CCTV
• Monitor fire alarm panel
• Provide JSB standard customer while assisting clients, customers, employees, visitors, and guests
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages and/or activities
• Maintain presence in lobby and assist visitors
• Immediate response and assist to emergencies to provide necessary support and contact emergency services when necessary
• Patrol site
• Write incident reports and log book entries
• Protect the client’s and company’s assets from theft, assault, fire or other safety issues
• Ability to work independently and with other team members

Requirements:

• 2 years security experience
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• Fireguard S95 Certification or willing to obtain
• CPR & First Aid
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Flexible work schedule
• Must be able to work weekends
• Strong and Consistent Work Ethic
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English
• Strong smartphone & tablet operating skills
• Professional Demeanor and Appearance
• 18 years old (or the minimum age required by State)
• Authorized to legally work in the United States
• Pass a drug test with negative results
• Pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment and education verification, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable
• If prior military, must be able to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, upon job offer
