Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer for Financial Institutions in New York, NY. You will monitor and patrol to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service and teamwork.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour. Responsibilities include access control, incident response, and accurate logging of events, supported by a professional environment and opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License requirements vary by state/locality.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors following site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of financial institution facilities and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and leadership regarding security concerns.

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of financial institution facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and employee credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
