Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to patrol and monitor a financial institution. You will provide courteous customer service, control access points, and report security incidents while maintaining a visible presence to deter issues.

The role requires at least 1 year in security, high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. The schedule is full-time with early morning shifts in NYC.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution per site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking offices, lobbies, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor credentials per procedures; report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to post orders.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate observations to management.

Pay Rate: $20.95 - $21.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking offices, lobbies, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate security-related observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
