Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Experienced Patrol Security Officer in Saint Paul, MN to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other environments. As an unarmed patrol officer you will monitor, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff while following site procedures.

The role emphasizes reliable teamwork, clear communication, and proactive customer service, with an emphasis on quick incident response, detailed reporting, and collaboration with store management

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law enforcement, 2 years security supervisor/manager, or 3 years security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law; licensing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the store, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior, reporting observations to management or law enforcement as directed.
• Document incidents and complete required reports, communicating with store management.

As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Position in SAINT PAUL, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $28.79 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thu 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, reporting observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with documenting incidents, completing required reports, and communicating with store management and/or law enforcement as directed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
