Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeters; identify hazards or policy concerns and report them.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization and maintain security logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document actions.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and disruptive behavior per site policies.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Maintain a professional presence while helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive behavior in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
