Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Emporia, VA. You will safeguard clients, deter incidents through visible patrols, and provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare environment.

As a full-time position, you will work varied night schedules and be part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and community safety. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting observed hazards, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate medical, facility, and/or public service personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with wayfinding, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Emporia, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with the team. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
