Job summary

Allied Universal in New York is seeking a Security Officer for an Evening Corporate Skyscraper Patrol. You will monitor access, perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors.

The position requires a NYS Security Guard License; CPR/First Aid is preferred; a high school diploma is necessary; a background check and drug screen are required; driving is for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a positive environment at the location.

You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
