Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a corporate premises site in New York. You will monitor access points, perform patrols, and deliver courteous customer service to tenants and visitors, while maintaining a strong presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• New York State Security Guard License required.
• Access Control/Badge Experience preferred.
• Comfortable using Computer or Tablet.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns calmly, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the property, entrances, and parking areas.
• Monitor activity and verify visitor/contractor authorization to deter unauthorized access.
• Document observations and incidents and communicate to site management and leadership.

You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property areas, including building entrances, common areas, loading docks, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor building activity and access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
