Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Evening Lobby Patrol in New York. You will protect clients across a commercial real estate environment, performing unarmed patrols, monitoring access points, and delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires a NYS Security Guard license, a minimum six months security experience, and the ability to work evening shifts. Training and advancement opportunities are available, with a focus on safety and community service.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; report suspicious conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations per protocols.
• Prepare clear reports and logs of patrols and events.

As a Security Officer - Evening Lobby Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Allied Universal is hiring Unarmed Security Officers to support a commercial real estate location. In this active patrol role, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site and Allied Universal protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
