Security Officer Entry Screening – Summerville, SC

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site‑specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security‑related protocols at an automotive location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and/or contractor logs, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site policy and documenting security‑related activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
