As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Dothan, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and materials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help to deter incidents through a professional presence. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification and access authorization.
• Monitor entry and exit points, observe the movement of people and vehicles, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points, operational spaces, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
