Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Credential Screening in Indianapolis, IN, to screen personnel and packages, monitor access points, and report security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service and adherence to site-specific procedures at a logistics and distribution location.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or property entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Monitor screening equipment, access points, and assigned areas; report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, vehicle areas, and perimeter locations; document observations and complete required reports.

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
