Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Overnight Rover to monitor and protect a healthcare location, deter security incidents, and provide courteous service to patients, staff and visitors. You will conduct unarmed patrols, manage access points, respond to alarms, and document activities.

The shift runs overnight, with a multi-night schedule typical for this role. Candidates should have at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma, and be able to pass

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and a drug screen are required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate contacts and responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in logs and reports.

As a Security Officer - Overnight Roverin Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
