Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Henrico, VA. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms while delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

This role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Ideal candidates have CPR, a guard card, and computer familiarity for site operations.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background checks and drug screening as required by law.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as needed.
• Document patrol observations and security-related activities in required reports and logs.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
