Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for a roving patrol at a food and beverage location in Suffolk, VA. You will provide customer service, deter incidents through visible presence, and enforce site policies while staying attentive to safety and security procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees at a production location by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to alarms, access concerns, and incidents in a calm, report-driven manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documenting arrivals, deliveries, and observations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate information to site management.

Officers conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon – 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun – 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other security-related observations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
