Allied Universal in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer CPR First Aid Patrol to safeguard aerospace and defense locations. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while upholding site policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations with calm, problem-solving approach, escalating per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site requirements; report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while communicating relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
