Job summary

Allied Universal in Springfield, MA is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Entry Control) to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment at a food and beverage production site.

You will rotate day and weekend shifts, perform badge checks, assist visitors, and follow site procedures. A guard card or license is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide access-control procedures and monitor site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain logs and records.
• Screen deliveries, vendors, contractors, and visitors per site requirements, directing authorized individuals to check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report security concerns.

What You'll Do:
