Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is seeking a Security Officer Entry Authorization Driver to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and distribution sites. This driving role requires vigilance at access points, credential checks, and coordination with site contacts to maintain safety and security.

You will perform routine patrols, manage entry/exit points, and provide excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license is required, along with background checks and a pre-employment drug screen;

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide access-control at a retail distribution location for clients, visitors and deliveries.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and direct authorized individuals.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit; inspect identification and documentation per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms and critical situations; notify site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization Driver in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support security-related procedures. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.

• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit, inspect identification and shipping-related documentation as required by site procedures, and report discrepancies.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
