Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is seeking a Security Officer Visitor Services to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors. You will manage entry points, verify access, monitor activity, and support security operations with integrity and teamwork.

This full-time driving position requires a valid driver's license and a customer-service oriented approach. You will interact with visitors and delivery personnel, perform patrols, and respond to incidents following established protocols.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers, and maintain visitor/vehicle records.
• Control entry and exit at gates, doors, and receiving areas; escalate access concerns to site personnel and leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to deter Unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Visitor Services in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a secure environment for associates, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations with integrity and teamwork. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle entry records.
• Control entry and exit at designated gates, doors, and receiving areas; communicate access concerns or irregularities to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and documenting relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking facilities, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
