Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time - Site Observation in Blythewood, SC to monitor and protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will maintain a visible presence, perform access control, report concerns, and work with site personnel to ensure safety.

This role offers flexible scheduling with a per hour pay rate of $19.10 and opportunities to learn new shifts through our Claim a Shift platform.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while working collaboratively with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking areas, entrances, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and assist with directing authorized personnel and deliveries.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
