Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to healthcare facility personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures per site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and promptly, communicating with appropriate site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Route Driver in North Haven, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
