Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Boston, MA. This role provides reliable, flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform. Pay rate is $22.05 per hour.

The schedule is DayTime Sat 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM. You will provide customer service at a public transportation facility, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents with logs and professional presence.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors at a public transportation facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident and patrol reports with a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Boston, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, restricted access points, and surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
