This role features anchored shifts for a six-month commitment and an option to expand hours through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of offices, parking facilities, perimeters, and loading areas.
• Monitor access points and credential compliance; assist with guest direction.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document activities and communicate concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and complete incident reports; follow post orders for equipment and restricted areas.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, loading areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and credential compliance in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing guests and verifying authorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document activities and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining accurate logs, completing incident reports, and following post orders for technology equipment, restricted areas, and confidential workspaces.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
