As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Image Review in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.39 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures, including verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Monitor access points, package handling areas, and surrounding property for unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or unauthorized entry, helping to deter theft and other security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badging is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
