• Observe front lobby activity and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, following established procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Services in Charleston, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.94 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a financial institution by greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and directing guests according to site‑specific procedures.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and issuing temporary access credentials as authorized.
• Observe front lobby activity and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and security‑related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Support a professional and welcoming environment by maintaining clear communication with employees, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
