Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Registration in Washington, DC. This role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with options to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $24.44 per hour. The position includes fixed-shift anchor and optional extra shifts through the scheduling platform, with potential to scale to up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Staff the front desk and greet, screen, and direct visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying visitor credentials, issuing temporary passes, maintaining visitor logs, and following established access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor front desk communications, cameras, and building systems as assigned, and document daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with site procedures.

Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.
