Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail location clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly per Allied Universal requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Response Driver in Harlingen, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon01:00 PM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
