Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Screening in NEWARK, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.60 / Hour

DayTimeMon05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or facility personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading zones, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and traffic flow for employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to incoming personnel and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
