Allied Universal’s Newark, CA site seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed professional. You will provide tenant and visitor service, perform fixed shifts with flexibility to take additional shifts, and support a safe, compliant environment at a commercial property.

The role offers access to badge-based security tasks, on-site patrols, and opportunities to grow into full‑time schedules while maintaining part‑time hours. PPO 14417

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; maintain documentation of activity and incidents.
• Respond to incidents and tenant concerns in a calm, professional manner and notify authorities as needed.
• Deter unauthorized access and enforce site policies to support a professional environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Patrol Services in Newark, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.29 / Hour

DayTimeMon09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials as directed and maintain accurate activity, incident, and/or visitor documentation.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, enforcing site policies, and helping to deter unauthorized access and prohibited activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
