Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Philadelphia, PA. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $19.06 per hour. Responsibilities include campus safety, access control, incident response, report writing, and customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and state licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening are required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents to campus contacts.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus community members and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Computer Reporting in Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security‑related incidents to the appropriate campus contacts.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus community members and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
