Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Audit in Suffolk, VA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols, verify access, and document activity at the site. Pay rate is $15.25 per hour with a six-month anchor shift and the chance to grow toward full-time through paid training.

Qualifications

• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols at the site, including exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and complete required reports.
• Observe facility conditions and report concerns to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Audit in Suffolk, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.25 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the food production location, including exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations and complete required reports.
• Observe facility conditions that may affect operations or access control and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
