Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Florida. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Primary duties include customer service, patrols, access control, and incident reporting at a technology/media location. Applicants should be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles) with a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass background checks

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to maintain an orderly environment.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and assigned areas in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain an orderly environment for personnel and visitors.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
