Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Ventura, CA. You will provide security for employees, contractors, and visitors, conduct patrols, and enforce site procedures.

The role offers flexible hours and a path toward full-time opportunities within a leading security services company. Pay is $18.91 per hour with anchor shifts and an opportunity to pick up additional shifts through Our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, including interior, exterior areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Complete required activity logs and shift documentation, communicating with leadership and site representatives.

How This Role Works

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the chemical and petrochemical facility, including building interiors, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
